2011-2012 Health Insurance Waiver Center

Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design is concerned about the health and wellbeing of students. For this reason, the College has a health insurance requirement in place for students who enroll in 9 or more credit hours. If you’ll have your own health insurance (i.e. through an employer, your family, or another source) for the duration of the upcoming academic year, you’ll just need to let us know about your coverage to meet the requirement.

Click Here to submit information about your external health insurance coverage and opt out of the College sponsored health insurance plan. Please note that you’ll need to inform the College about your health insurance situation annually. Unless external health insurance information is submitted annually, students enrolled in 9 or more credit hours are automatically enrolled in the College sponsored plan.

The RMCAD Communication page provides the plan benefit information as well as links to the various networks that serve the plan.  Student Health Insurance plans may be different from the insurance plans that you may be familiar.  Therefore, please review the plan information closely. The Communication page is located at www.cirstudenthealth.com/rmcad.

RMCAD Sponsored Health Insurance Refund Policy

The deadline to waive the school sponsored health insurance plan is the end of week #2 of any term.  Students who do not waive the school sponsored plan by the deadline will automatically be enrolled in the school sponsored health insurance plan and will be responsible for the premium cost for the plan.  Contact the Director of Student Life to be removed from the school sponsored health insurance plan when the waiver period is over.

Students removed from the school sponsored health insurance plan after the deadline will be refunded a prorated amount of the premium charged to their Student Account. There will also be an administration fee charged. A student who receives a refund for a late waiver for the Fall term is ineligible for coverage in the Spring/Summer terms and will not be included in the school sponsored health insurance plan for those terms.
